AN NFL EXECUTIVE SAYS THIS IS THE #1 INDICATOR IF A TEAM HAS AN ELITE CULTURE OR NOT

Yesterday in the mastermind group I am a part of, we had a full-time NFL executive speak on culture. My biggest take-home was this:
"One of the biggest indicators of team culture is how they conduct themselves as a group. I have spoken to all 32 teams, and I always measure what I observe; are they focused? Do they have respect for the speakers, etc.
For example, one team that has consistently struggled on the field is not impressive when I speak to them. They dress differently, they have earbuds in, they are not engaged.
On the other hand, when I speak to one of the league's elite teams, they are totally different. They are dressed exactly the same. All eyes are on the head coach or whoever is speaking and me. After I am finished, the head coach will ask, 'what is one thing you learned that would help you in the future?' Several players answer enthusiastically.
It is a totally different experience. It is easy to see why one team struggles and one team wins. The culture shouts both ways."
I HOPE YOU GET THIS. It is not all about who has the most talent. The BEST TEAMS will never win games - they are won by the TEAMS THAT PLAY THE BEST.
Even in the NFL, some organizations don't have a clue.
